A spectacular handcrafted sterling silver statement pendant by contemporary jewelry artist Victor Yurivilca, centered by a vivid natural orange spiny oyster shell set within a substantial dimensional bezel.
Yurivilca's wonderfully unconventional design surrounds the square orange centerpiece with an architectural arrangement of sculptural sterling elements — curved silver bars, raised spheres, layered geometric forms and oxidized recesses that emphasize the pendant's remarkable depth and construction. Even the oversized decorative bail becomes part of the composition, giving the entire piece the feeling of a miniature abstract sculpture.
The rich orange spiny oyster provides a dramatic burst of color against the cool sterling silver. Its natural variation and striations make the stone visually striking while reinforcing the completely individual character of the pendant.
I have paired the pendant with a 28-inch vintage Taxco, Mexico sterling silver bar-link chain that beautifully complements its strong geometric design. The chain carries a partial Taxco maker's mark along with the Mexican Eagle 3 assay mark, dating it to the vintage Mexican silver era. The long length allows the substantial pendant to fall beautifully on the chest and gives the necklace an especially dramatic modernist silhouette.
At 44 grams, this is a wonderfully substantial piece of artisan jewelry — bold enough to command attention while remaining sophisticated and exceptionally wearable.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
