Beautiful gilded sterling silver butterfly brooch with gorgeous shades of green, white, black and purplish/brown guilloche enamel. A rare unmarked pendant, possible a designer's proof pendant. I've sold several identical in design and colors and feel comfortable in stating this was most likely designed and crafted by Jens Erik Jensen for Hroar Prydz, sometime in the 1920s or 1930s. It is in excellent condition - enamel fully intact clean, shiny and bright. There is a tiny bit of gold loss to the back on the left and right edges of the back, but it has been professionally polished and looks amazing. Hard to believe this butterfly around 100 years old, it literally looks almost new! I have paired it with a vintage Italian 12k yellow gold filled extra long chain.

Hroar Prydz - Oslo His shop was active from 1891 till his death on Christmas Eve in 1937. After his death, Hans Myhre took over the company till 1965. The Myhre & Prydz lines where bought by David Andersen in the 1965.
