A striking mid-century Norwegian modernist brooch by designer Øystein Balle, beautifully crafted in sterling silver with vivid multicolor enamel.
The abstract composition has a distinctly artistic, almost Cubist quality, with flowing geometric forms outlined in silver and filled with rich shades of blue, green, white, red, and golden yellow. The bold color palette and asymmetrical design give the piece a wonderfully expressive, painterly appearance that feels strongly rooted in Scandinavian mid-century design.
The enamel remains exceptionally clean, glossy, and vibrant with no noted chips, losses, worn areas, repairs, or damage. The sterling silver frame and detailing are equally well preserved, making this an especially fine example of Balle’s enamel work.
Included with purchase are two silver brooch-to-pendant converters, allowing the piece to be worn as a pendant either vertically or horizontally for added versatility.

Oystein Balle, a master goldsmith, established his workshop in 1953 and ceased operations in the late 1960's or early 1970's. His father, Olav Georg Balle was also a master goldsmith and apprenticed with Hellstrom in Stavanger, Norway in the 1930s.
Returns policy
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags (if applicable) and in its original packaging.

If your return request is accepted, we will email you with the return address and any additional information needed. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
