A beautiful and uncommon Danish modernist necklace and bracelet set by Binder & Co., dating to approximately the 1940s–1950s.

Both pieces feature an intricate open-loop wirework construction composed of repeating teardrop-shaped links arranged in graceful rows. The result is wonderfully light and fluid in appearance, with a lace-like texture that gives the set remarkable movement and dimension while retaining the clean, restrained elegance associated with Scandinavian mid-century design.

The necklace drapes beautifully along the neckline and is finished with an adjustable extension chain, clasp, and small ball charm detail. The coordinating bracelet echoes the same openwork pattern in a slightly wider format and is finished with a secure clasp and safety chain.

The matching construction gives the set a sophisticated, cohesive presence without feeling overly formal. It is equally striking worn together as a complete demi-parure or styled separately for a more understated modern look.

He began his training with an apprenticeship as a chain maker in Pforzheim (1888 - 1893) and then went on a six-year journeyman tour through Europe (1893 - 1899). Back in Mönsheim, he initially worked for eight years in his own simple workshop (1902 - 1910).In 1910, he founded the company Friedrich Binder Mönsheim, or FBM for short, which he transformed into a limited partnership in 1929. Friedrich Binder died in 1933 at the age of 59. His wife Johanna and his two sons Ernst and Theodor inherited his legacy. Ernst Binder took over the management of the company from then on.
