A striking Norwegian modernist brooch by Albert Scharning, beautifully crafted in sterling silver with rich royal-blue guilloché enamel and warm gilded accents.
The sculptural design features three sweeping, stylized leaf or wing-like forms arranged around an elegant curved gilt framework. Beneath the translucent cobalt-blue enamel is a beautifully executed radiating guilloché pattern that catches and reflects the light, giving the color remarkable depth and movement.
The contrast of vivid blue enamel against the softly gilded sterling creates a wonderfully graphic Scandinavian look—clean, architectural and unmistakably modernist.
At approximately 2.25 inches wide, the brooch has excellent presence without feeling overly heavy or cumbersome. It looks especially dramatic against black, white, gray or other neutral fabrics.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The royal-blue enamel remains glossy, bright and fully intact with no noted chips, cracks or losses. The gilding is equally bright, with only minor wear to the reverse consistent with age and previous use.
Bonus: Two brooch converters are included with purchase, allowing the piece to also be worn as a pendant if desired.

Albert Scharning - Established company in 1900, largely as an agency representing traditional Norwegian jewellery, In 1950 his son Per Scharning took over and started a separate workshop, growing the production of silver and enamel jewellery. Closed 1980.
Returns policy
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags (if applicable) and in its original packaging.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
