A striking and beautifully preserved Norwegian modernist brooch by Albert Scharning, crafted in gilt sterling silver with rich guilloché enamel.
The sculptural design features three elongated, sweeping foliage forms rising from a graceful openwork stem. Each leaf is filled with finely worked guilloché enamel in an unusual olive-brown to deep chartreuse tone, giving the surface remarkable depth and subtle movement as it catches the light. Delicate engraved curves beneath the translucent enamel further emphasize the flowing organic form.
The warm gilded sterling framework creates a beautiful contrast against the earthy enamel, while the looping stems and curled flourish give the composition an elegant, almost calligraphic quality. At approximately 2.75 inches long, the brooch has impressive visual presence while remaining light and comfortable to wear.
Condition: Exceptional vintage condition. The enamel remains glossy, bright and completely intact with no noted chips, cracks or losses. The gilding is equally bright and exceptionally well preserved. This piece presents remarkably close to new despite its age.
A brooch converter is included, allowing the piece to also be worn as a pendant if desired.
A sophisticated and unusually sculptural example of Norwegian enamel jewelry, particularly appealing to collectors of Scandinavian modernism and mid-century studio design.
Albert Scharning - Established company in 1900, largely as an agency representing traditional Norwegian jewellery, In 1950 his son Per Scharning took over and started a separate workshop, growing the production of silver and enamel jewellery. Closed 1980.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags (if applicable) and in its original packaging.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
