A phenomenal late-1980s studio-jewelry brooch, hand-signed GE and dated 1989, crafted in substantial sterling silver with 14K yellow gold gemstone settings.
The bold sculptural composition is formed from sweeping polished sterling tubing that curves into a dramatic central spiral, creating a wonderfully fluid sense of movement. The design is distinctly modernist yet remarkably clean and architectural — a striking example of jewelry conceived as wearable sculpture.
Each end of the brooch terminates in a raised bezel-set gemstone accented in warm 14K yellow gold. One end features a vivid blue topaz, while the opposite end is accented with a softly luminous white opal. The subtle gold settings provide just enough contrast against the cool polished sterling to highlight the stones without distracting from the minimalist design.
At approximately 3.4 inches wide and weighing nearly 30 grams, this is a substantial statement piece with excellent presence on a jacket, coat, sweater, or oversized lapel.
The reverse is hand-signed GE, marked Sterling, and dated 89, indicating manufacture in 1989. Although the identity of the studio jeweler behind the GE signature remains unconfirmed, the workmanship, scale, mixed-metal construction, and dated signature are consistent with American studio jewelry of the late 1980s.
The brooch has recently been professionally polished and presents beautifully, with bright silver surfaces and only minor evidence of previous wear consistent with age.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
