A phenomenal large-scale mixed-metal brooch by American artist Beth Piver, known for her imaginative “techno romantic” jewelry combining sculptural form, industrial details, whimsical symbolism, and a distinctly feminine point of view.
This striking piece is designed as a stylized goddess, angel, or strong female figure, with raised copper-toned wings, layered brass and silver-toned body panels, riveted details, etched script, spiral motifs, gear-like elements, and a small articulated dangling cog at the base.
The composition has wonderful three-dimensional depth, with each contrasting metal surface and applied element contributing to the sense that this is less a conventional brooch and more a miniature wearable sculpture.
The industrial gears, screws, rivets, and architectural components give the piece a playful steampunk / techno-modernist quality, while the curving female silhouette and winged form keep it expressive and distinctly Piver.
At approximately 3.6 inches long and nearly 24 grams, this is a substantial statement piece with excellent presence on a jacket, coat, shawl, or oversized lapel.
The reverse is hand-signed Piver ©, confirming the artist.
Condition: Excellent vintage/pre-owned condition with little to no visible wear. The mixed-metal surfaces retain their wonderful contrast, texture, and sculptural character.
A brooch converter is included, allowing the piece to also be worn as an oversized pendant if desired.

About Beth Piver: I am an artist & a hooper. Been hooping (I teach it too) since 2009, been an artist always. I grew up an Air Force Brat & lived all over the country as well as in Korea. I recently moved from Colorado Springs, my home. Somehow, I've ended up in Chicagoland. At least for the time being. I studied graphic design & photography, worked as a graphic designer, then spent many years doing fine craft shows (with jewelry mostly, but occasionally with paintings & sculpture) & selling to galleries all over the US as well as a few in Europe & Mexico. Nowadays....not so much, due to health issues which include daily headaches & Lyme disease. But I am now starting to paint again. My Loft has been featured on HGTV (Offbeat America), as well as in a few magazines. American Style Magazine Maryland Life Apartment Therapy I then moved to a house in LaVale, Maryland. I made that into a wacky place to live too. After that I moved to this house in Colorado Springs. It has also been featured in Springs Magazine. When the Colorado Springs house was up for sale, there was a whole lot of craziness with it on Zillow.com with over 250,000 views and on Instagram with over a million views! It made quite a stir! Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
