Superb and substantial vintage modernist earrings by noted Mexican studio jewelry designer Erika Hult de Corral, whose work is signed RIC.
Handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico, each earring features a dramatic polished black onyx cabochon set within an architectural sterling silver composition of overlapping geometric forms. The sharply tapered central onyx stones contrast beautifully against the bright silver framework, creating a bold sculptural design with strong Mid-Century Modern and Mexican Modernist influence.
The earrings have wonderful visual presence and are exceptionally substantial at a combined 29 grams.
Erika Hult de Corral studied design in Paris and later worked in Taxco with important Mexican modernist silversmiths before establishing her own studio. Her jewelry is known for clean sculptural forms, strong geometry and the sophisticated combination of sterling silver with colorful or contrasting stones.
These earrings were originally constructed with clip backs and have been professionally converted to pierced post backs using sterling silver posts and larger sterling backs for comfortable, secure wear.
They have also been professionally polished and are in excellent vintage condition. Any lines visible in the photographs are primarily reflections from the highly polished sterling surface.
A superb and highly wearable example of Erika Hult de Corral's Mexican Modernist studio jewelry, combining substantial sterling silver, dramatic black onyx and bold architectural design.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
