Incredibly Rare James Frappe (James E. Frape) Abstract Modernist Stick Pin Brooch Circa 1940/1950s

Measures: 3.2"L x .8"W (8.13cm x 2.03cm)

Marked: Frappe Sterling

Weight: 6.4g

What a fantastic example of Frape's iconic designs. Stick Pin is made of solid sterling silver and features multiple raised circles, some solid, some hollow, nestled inside a larger 3-D open circle. Positively beautiful and timeless in. I've given it a light cleaning, which was all that was needed, as it is in exceptional condition with little to no wear and no damage of any kind.

Mannequin is a life-size torso representation

James E. Frape (1921-2016) Was an iconic jeweler, enamellist and sculptor in Pittsburgh, PA. He studied and later taught at the prestigious Carnegie Mellon Institute.
