Another fabulous vintage Georg Jensen 830 silver brooch. A rare piece that features one of his earliest marks and designed by Georg Jensen himself in 1907. Some where along it's lifetime, the original trombone closure on the brooch was replace with a more contemporary closure, probably due to malfunction, but the original stem is still attached. There is also small crack or surface occlusion in the center stone at the top right corner. It's pretty hard to see because the stone is quite dark but I did take a close up picture, see last photo. If it's a concern, it could be sent to the Georg Jensen company for repair or a local jeweler could also replace the stone. Overall, it's in good condition and hard to believe it's over 100 years old! Included with purchase is a converter (not sterling) so it can be worn as a pendant if preferred.
