Monumental and stunning Jorma Laine abstract brutalist sterling silver necklace. Necklace features a 3-D block style pendant a constructivism/brutalist style that has been purposefully oxidized in the recesses and on the back for a dramatic effect. Pendant has an extra long bale with articulating beads and is suspended from it's original chain. It has been professionally polished and is in excellent like new condition. Perfect for any occasion and a wonderful collector's piece.

Jorma Laine (1930 - 2002) was a Finnish modernist jewellery designer, producing his signature modernist pieces in the 1960s and 70s. He worked for Kultateollisuus Ky, in Turku, Finland which was founded in 1899 and is one of the oldest silver makers in Finland. Between 1954-1977 it was known as Kultateollisuus Viljanen ja Kumpp Ky. During these innovative years, Kultateollisuus Ky employed some of the best contemporary designers and their Modernist pieces are stamped with the symbol of the flying hammer.
