Earrings are in excellent to like new condition and have been recently professionally polished. No damage to of any kind. Could easily and inexpensively be converted to post back earrings by a jeweler.
Miguel Garcia Martinez was the primary designer at Rancho Alegre. In the early 1950's he also provided designs for Emma Melendez. Plateria Rancho Alegre was established in 1956 by Pedro Perez, a one-time shop manager for William Spratling's Taller de Las Delicias. During the 1960's, Rancho Alegre became one of the largest retailers of Mexican silver, and served as an outlet for many of the finest designers and silversmiths.
