Norwegian Designer Hroar Prydz Sterling Enamel Butterfly HUGE Brooch Circa 1920's/1930's

 Beautiful gilded sterling silver and multi-colored guilloche enamel butterfly brooch. Stunning shades of yellow, tan and green, the enamel is fully intact clean, shiny and bright. The "white" lines in the photos are reflections for the lighting. The back is lightly gilded with very minor wear. Included with purchase is a gilt sterling silver plated converter so it can be worn as a pendant if preferred.  

Hroar Prydz - Oslo His shop was active from 1891 till his death on Christmas Eve in 1937. After his death, Hans Myhre took over the company till 1965. The Myhre & Prydz lines where bought by David Andersen in the 1965.
