Einar Modahl was a master Silversmith in Oslo Norway. He started as an apprentice to Marius Hammer in Bergen in filigree work before moving to Oslo to work with Goldsmith Clement Berg. He completed his Journeyman's piece in 1920 with Norsk Filigransfabrikk. In the same year, he was officially licensed and established an enamel workshop under his own name in Oslo. In 1937 the business became a limited company with Odd Frisch as joint owner, until his death in 1951.
