Quite a fantastic and rare piece. Awesome estate find! Brooch features an oxidation technique that gives it fantastic depth and character. There is no damage or repair, only minor wear comparable to age. Fantastic collector's piece! Included with purchase are to silver plated converters so it can be worn as a pendant if preferred.

Israel "Izzy" Sklar was a jeweler, husband and partner to Phyllis Gold Sklar. 1923-2012. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, he and Phyllis moved to an artist's community in Provincetown, Mass in the 1950's. He was considered one of the most prolific designs of his time creating the dripping rock technique that eventually became known as Brutalist style.
