Monumental, hefty and stunning Kultateollisuus Ky abstract brutalist 830 blackened sterling silver necklace. I only cleaned the the clasps so as to clearly display the markings. It has fantastic patina! Perfect for any occasion and a wonderful collector's piece.

Jorma Laine (1930 - 2002) was a Finnish modernist jewellery designer, producing his signature modernist pieces in the 1960s and 70s. He worked for Kultateollisuus Ky, in Turku, Finland which was founded in 1899 and is one of the oldest silver makers in Finland. Between 1954-1977 it was known as Kultateollisuus Viljanen ja Kumpp Ky. During these innovative years, Kultateollisuus Ky employed some of the best contemporary designers and their Modernist pieces are stamped with the symbol of the flying hammer.
