Superb craftsmanship and staying true to their unique designs, this piece is no exception. This stunning sterling silver piece features a modernist abstract almost brutalist design in a 3 dimension fashion. It also features a pin back and a necklace bale, so it can be worn as a brooch or a pendant. I have paired it with a new sterling Italian chain. There is absolutely no damage of any kind, literally looks like it's been hidden away for 60 years untouched. Fantastic and highly desirable collector's piece.

Else Berntsen Hughes (1938-2002) and Paul C. Hughes(1934-1981) co-founded their workshop "Studio Else & Paul" in Hadelund, Norway in 1959. They worked primarily in the lost wax technique of casting to create large and complex sculptural jewelry. Else Hughes concentrated on creating full scale sculpture after Paul's death in 1981.
