Fantastic and substantial abstract modernist sterling silver and Malachite earrings. They have recently been professionally polished and look phenomenal. Please excuse the lines or reflections, as they are extremely shiny and hard to photograph. They could easily and inexpensively be converted to post back earrings by a jeweler.
Model is a life-size representation
Erika Hult de Corral, known by her signature "Ric". She studied at the Paris affiliate of the New York's Parsons School of Design. She worked in Taxco both with Sigi Pineda and Enrique Ledesma before moving to Puerto Vallarta and opening her own shop in 1966. Most of her early pieces are stamped with Taxco's Eagle 3, indicating that her designs where executed by Taxco Silversmiths. Her work is very modern, reminiscent of Danish Modern with its clean contoured lines.
