Stunning sterling and enamel necklace from Aksel Holmsen in a rarely seen extra long design. The necklace features a modernist look with retro atomic starburst designed, off white guilloche enamel. The enamel is clean, bright, fully entacted with no damage of any kind. I'm not sure if most of the gilding has worn off, or if it was intentionally given a faint gilding. I'm more inclined to think the latter, as it is uniform through out. It has more of very light champagne tone to the silver. Overall it is in exceptional condition, with very minor wear - comparable to age. 

The Ivar T Holth silversmithy was first registered in Oslo, Norway in 1943. They produced an extensive amount of jewellery often using guilloche enamel . Much of the jewellery was exported overseas. The company was managed  by Per Holth, Ivar's son after his death, from the late seventies until 2007.
