Monumental and elegant ceramic sculpture of a 3 dimensional female face. Titled "Star-gazer" and designed by David Fisher for Austin Productions. Made of Durastone, the sculpture has been fully restored and has no chips, cracks or damage of any kind. Sculpture has been painted with medium gray acrylic paint and a light top coat of metallic pewter acrylic paint, giving it a light shimmer. Base has been refinished and painted with glossy black acrylic and both finished with a heavy lacquer top coat with new felt added to the base. A copy of the original sculpture card is included as pictured.

Durastone is a special formulation of crushed stone mixed in a slurry, hand-cast and hand-finished.

I have been working on a passion project that involves purchasing sculptures from various sources and with varying degrees of damage. It has been a labor of love with countless hours and loads of hard work. My goal is to restore these pieces back to their original grandeur, sometimes with an updated color palate when appropriate. I hope to not only keep another artist’s masterpiece living on for a few more decades, but to introduce the next generation to sculptures as home décor that may otherwise end up in our landfills.
