Stunning craftsmanship and brilliant colors in this beautiful brooch. Brooch features an abstract modernist design, with a fused glass and enamel large piece that has 18k yellow gold interlaced in the design. The piece is bezel set into an abstract shaped setting that is trimmed in stamp markings. Signed, numbered and dated, it is an absolutely fantastic collector's piece. Included with purchase is a silver converter so it can be worn as a pendant if preferred. 

Dan McCann has been working and exhibiting in the fine arts field since the 1980's. The work uses a variety of material tailored to the intent and content of the piece. Being a self taught artist, he began in the early 70’s working with glass, designing and building stained glass windows. In the 80’s working with glass fusing and creating a line of jewelry. The move into mixed media began in the early 90’s. “I felt my work with glass began to stagnate. I use arbitrary objects to create an ordered visual impact, establishing relationship among found objects, I call this Arbitrary Order." He retired his jewelry line about 10 years ago.
