Lovely set of clip back Danish sterling silver earrings. Clip backs are tight and work properly. They could easily and inexpensively be converted to post back earrings by a jeweler. They have both been recently professionally polished and look fabulous.

Founder Einar Dragsted (1887-1967) Purveyor to the Royal Danish Court. Copenhagen, Denmark. Company started as a spin off from Arendt Dragsted in 1937 and was active till 1991. Known predominantly for his fine sterling and enamel tableware. His jewelry was only produced from 1948 - 1958 and is a rare find and highly sought after. 

EILER & MARLØE (E&M) Were renowned silversmiths active during the first half of the 20th Century, registered 1920 to 1967 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their work was part of the Scandinavian movement known as Skonvirke in Danish, which translates to beautiful work. It’s a fitting phrase as many of the makers of this movement were trained sculptors, designing and crafting their way to unforgettable and highly coveted works of art. Skonvirke held an aesthetic tenet which was part Arts and Crafts and part Art Nouveau. Eiler and Marloe specialized in silver jewelry and were known for high quality products and design. Their biggest competitor of the time, Georg Jensen.
