The pendant is made of a combination of silver and ancient Roman glass with free flowing lines in a fantastic abstract style. The back of the pendant features 3 square hooks so that the pendant can be hung from the chain in various different ways. It also has a pinback closure so it can be worn solely as a brooch. This is such a beautiful example of wearable, organic art by Avi Soffer and multi-functional too. There is no damage or repairs only minor wear to back comparable to age.

As an apprentice to jewelry makers in Israel and Denmark, Avi developed a decidedly international perspective on design – and life. Throughout his career, he has used and shared his talents to help others, mentoring new artisans as well as employing people with disabilities in his workshop. An avid supporter of human rights causes, he participates in empowerment programs for Arab women in Israel, and volunteers at a refugee center for African women in Tel Aviv, bringing the same passion to helping his community as he does to jewelry design.
