Beautiful Volmer Bahner petite sterling silver and Lavender guilloche enamel butterfly pendant on a sterling silver chain. This late 1940s/early 1950s necklace is in excellent condition with little to no wear. Enamel is fully intact, crisp and bright.

Volmer Bahner was born in September 1912 in Frederica, Denmark. Bahner was a pupil of Utzon Frank when he graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture, Design and Conservation in 1930. Many of his works are represented in the Danish Museum of Art and Design. Bahner created many works in bronze and ceramic but was best known for is fine modernist and naturalist inspired enamel and sterling silver jewelry.
