Fantastic and extremely well-crafted handbag from the creative minds of Bozenna and Lukasz Bogucki. They have been pioneers in the art world making not only this fabulous handbag but also wall art, jewelry and lamps out of Silk-like super fine stainless steel wire mesh. This handmade bag has lovely shades of black, brown, tan, copper, blue and creams in an abstract linear pattern that has an iridescent finish that was created by freehand blow torching. Features double steel circle handles, solid grey mesh top trim, magnetic snap closure (one on each end of the opening. Inside has a black ultra suede lining with a single open top hanging pocket. It is in perfect, like new condition with the original dust bag.

Their process for making their handbags:

It was in 1999 when we decided, that stainless steel mesh is a perfect material to use for handbags and that’s when Bo’s Art was created.
We are based in Los Angeles, where all the work, from design to the finishing touches is done. Also, there is a beneficial and practical aspect: all our stainless steel creations block unauthorized transmission from RFID enabled credit cards and IDs. It is all about the BEAUTY of this highly industrial and rarely seen material (stainless steel mesh is mostly hidden in all kind of filtration systems).
It is about the CHALLENGE to create sculptural, functional art objects out of this demanding and very difficult to work with material.
We are pioneering on this field trying to discover and reveal its particular properties and beauties. Even after years of working with stainless steel mesh, the process of creating constantly delivers excitement and feeling of satisfaction when we make another leap forward perfecting our designs.
Bozenna+Lukasz Bogucki

Lukasz and Bozenna, the husband and wife Design Duo behind the creation of the OPERA COLLECTION, first met during their student years at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. After graduation they went their separate ways, only to meet again years later.
The story of their lives and talents continues to unfold in Los Angeles, now their home; their creations, however, are reaching a growing number of enthusiastic patrons around the world.
Bozenna. After several years of designing exhibits and trade fairs, turned toward interior and graphic design and established her own successful studio in Warsaw. She has always been drawn to fabrics, fashion, and uniquely designed textiles. She produced several haute-couture shows of her own, in which she transformed artistic patchwork into unique clothing or translated motifs from her paintings into appliqués on evening dresses. All along she has been very active as an artist. Her paintings, drawings and tapestries have been shown in numerous galleries in Europe, Japan, and the USA.
Lukasz also started in Poland by designing exhibits for trade fairs, later worked there as an interior designer, but then left for the United States. In Los Angeles since 1980, he worked at a nuclear power plant (!), then returned to interior design and also started designing lamps. Over a number of years he has designed, manufactured and marketed lamps made of paper, fiberglass, metal and stainless steel wire mesh. - Courtesy of their website
The Duo. After reconnecting and getting married in 1996, Bozenna moved to Los Angeles and the Boguckis became design partners. In the summer of 2000, while working on the next line of lamps, they were inspired by the fine, silk-like wire mesh to create unique, elegant handbags. To adapt it to make delicate handbags was not an easy task. For months they experimented with this specific and demanding material, learning its behavior and properties.
