Beautiful gilded sterling silver with red and black guilloche enamel butterfly brooch. Designed and crafted by Jens Erik Jensen for Hroar Prydz. Circa 1920s or 1930s. It is in excellent condition - enamel fully intact clean, shiny and bright. The "White" lines in the photos are reflections from the lights. Gilding is fully intact and also shiny and bright! Hard to believe this butterfly is almost 100 years old, it literally looks brand new! Included with purchase is a gilt sterling silver plated converter so it can be worn as a pendant if preferred.
Hroar Prydz - Oslo His shop was active from 1891 till his death on Christmas Eve in 1937. After his death, Hans Myhre took over the company till 1965. The Myhre & Prydz lines where bought by David Andersen in the 1965.
