Positively stunning pair of earrings from the late Nancy Linkin. Graceful, curvilinear forms are hand hammered from flat sheets of sterling silver and 18k gold bimetal using anticlastic techniques. This exact design is retired from the line and sadly with her passing will not be reproduced. They are in excellent condition with little to no wear. Please excuse the lines or reflections, as it's extremely shiny and hard to photograph, I did blur some of the heavier reflections, so even though the pictures may look like the gold portion is inconsistent in color and thickness, I assure you they are not. Will be professionally polished before shipping.

About Nancy Linkin:
"The essential quality of my work is harmony of form. I want my jewelry to soothe. It's elegant, casual, and comfortable—like fine silk and soft blue jeans."
A beloved member of the artist community, Nancy Linkin died in June of 2019 after a long battle with cancer. For nearly two decades, we have proudly represented her and her exquisite artwork. In keeping with Nancy's wishes, her trusted associate Luke Sunde will continue to create her pieces in their studio.
The work of Nancy Linkin and Luke Sunde is inspired by curvilinear forms found in nature and geometry—squash vines and logarithmic spirals, dried autumn leaves and parabolas. Their studio is in coastal Maine, where the water meanders into a quiet tidal cove with the same fluid grace found in their work.
To create each piece, flat patterns are cut from sheets of gold and silver and hammered systematically over wooden and plastic tools. Once a piece has been hammered into its final form, it's filed and sanded, then buffed to a high polish. This fine finish accentuates the jewelry's simple sculptural lines.
