Superb and hefty sterling silver tulip brooch by the iconic MCM designer Madeline Turner. Simple but so elegant with beautiful sweeping lines and curls. Brooch has recently been professionally polished and looks almost new. Included with purchase is a converter so it can be worn as a pendant if preferred. 

Madeline Turner was an accomplished silversmith and enamellist who, in the 1940's worked for Tiffany and Georg Jensen, USA. Her enamel work was painterly and modernist though her silverwork was mostly based on natural forms.
