Superb example of MCM abstract modernist at its absolute finest. This stunning sterling silver set by Secrest features an abstract modernist geometric pattern that has been oxidized in the recesses enhancing each piece's multi-dimensional shape. The set has been professionally polished and looks almost brand new! Included with purchase is a silver converter so it can be worn as a pendant on a chain if preferred. I can also included adapters for the earrings, free of charge, that will allow a buyer to wear them as clip ons, instead of the current post back style, if needed.
Russell Secrest (1935-2010) Rochester, NY & Petoskey, MI. Handwrought and cast sterling modernist jewelry as well as kinetic sculptures in bronze and sterling. Secrest studied at the School for American Craftsmen at the Rochester Institute of Technology and later operated the Artisans Gallery in Petoskey. He was best known for his sculptures, as that was his main focus, and because of the scarcity of his jewelry pieces, they are highly prized and coveted.
