Fantastic and intricately detailed 3-D Copper wall sculpture by the World renowned Canadian artist and sculpture, Tony Bloom. Sculpture depicts a family sitting in a post impressionism/brutalist style design. The Mom has a girl on her lap with her right arm around the girl's waist and her left arm is on Dad's leg. Dad has a boy standing on his lap supporting him with his left arm and the boy has his right arm around Dad's neck. Dad's right arm is draped around Mom's shoulder. The piece has been mounted and framed in a handmade wood frame, that has gold gilding on the face and natural wood stain on the sides. Other than some minor wear to the frame the piece is in excellent condition!

TONY BLOOM
Works at Stonecrop Studios, his studios split between Canmore, Alberta and Victoria, BC, producing sculpture in a range of scales from hand-held to monumental, in metal, clay, and other media. Tony has received countless awards and recognitions dating back to as yearly as 1977.

Tony Bloom has had a wide range of influences and inspirations over the course of his life. Born in Tokyo in 1947 he was raised in Paris and Washington D.C., though he ended up at the Banff School of Fine Arts in 1970 and founded Stonecrop Studios in Canmore four years later. As with many artists, his chosen career gave way to his passion for art, as he was trained in physics before moving to music and then ceramic/metalwork. His current works are in steel, copper, bronze, and aluminum, which he skillfully turns into sculpture, architectural features, and numerous public art projects in Calgary. His works in copper would look amazing on the Great Room walls, bringing warmth and curved shapes, while aluminum “Landbuoy” would be a great point of interest in the backyard.
