Rare and wonderfully whimsical signed Curtis Jeré owl sculpture, dated 1967, executed in mixed metals with a natural stone base.

This striking mid-century modern figural sculpture features a stylized owl perched on a branch, masterfully constructed in bronze and copper-toned metal with rich patina and sculptural dimensionality. The owl’s expressive form is especially appealing, with oversized circular eyes, curled brow details, and layered wing elements that give the piece a playful yet sophisticated personality.

The branch extends horizontally with delicate berry-like metal tips, adding balance and visual movement to the composition, while the rough-cut natural stone base provides an earthy contrast to the warm metallic tones. The combination of organic form, whimsical design, and hand-worked metal construction is classic Curtis Jeré and reflects the inventive decorative sculpture that made Artisan House so collectible.

Though modest in scale, this piece has a strong presence and displays beautifully on a bookshelf, desk, console, mantel, or curated cabinet. It would be especially wonderful in a mid-century modern, eclectic, library, or collector-focused interior.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no damage or repairs noted. The sculpture retains a beautiful aged patina consistent with age and materials. New pads have been added to the underside of the base. Please review photographs carefully for details of finish and condition.

Any photographs showing furniture or additional décor are included only to demonstrate styling and scale. Only the sculpture is included with the purchase.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
