Fantastic abstract modernist brooch in a multitude of guilloche enamel colors. Very Picasso-ess look to it. Brooch is in immaculate condition - Enamel is clean, clear and bright with no chips, worn areas, damage or repairs of any kind. Included with purchase are 2 converters so it can be worn as a pendant either vertically or horizontally on a necklace if preferred. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE STEM PART OF THE PIN BACK MAY NOT BE STERLING SILVER.
Oystein Balle, a master goldsmith, established his workshop in 1953 and ceased operations in the late 1960's or early 1970's. His father, Olav Georg Balle was also a master goldsmith and apprenticed with Hellstrom in Stavanger in the 1930s.
